I use the program CD Architect to do my CD's as well as my radio show .. It
also comes combined with Sound Forge. The CD Architect program allows you
to adjust the level of audio for each individual song graphically, by
raising/lowering/bending (for fading purposes) a visual audio bar within each
waveform .. The best program I've ever used for CD's .. It alllows you to
manually insert your track starts and stops if you want to do that. It also
lets you overlap as many songs at once (good for radio shows.. voiceovers and
whatnot) ..
