Speaking of childish, dig the above spew. Not impressive. Thanks for
the "basic moves" line, in any case. Incidentally, I'm interested
enough in your opinions that I checked out a Consonant song. I'm
tempted to say it was "really fucking ordinary," but that would be
more your syntax than mine.

Well, the Audities poll had 138 voters ("the second highest vote
total ever") and the CoF poll had 118. Not too much of a gap. And
yet...the CoF results, while not so diverse in the overall scheme of
things, still showed a lot more range than the Audities poll.

Take a poll of just about *any* other pop-rock demographic and Queens
of the Stone Age would have fared a lot better.

What an admirably unbiased way to put it. I can understand your
grudge against the mainstream, though. Trivial lyrics, facile hooks,
oversweetened harmonies...who needs it? If only N'Sync played
Rickenbackers, instead.
By the way, I've seen a few of your top 10 lists on the Web. I think
your stance on these issues was already more than evident.
>I don't get upset that many of my favorites don't show up on consensus

Oh sure, of course not. I think your commendable lack of resentment
was already showed in the line about other critics wallowing in
sludge and pools.
