It wasn't because of your list (sorry, Bill) and I'm not a stoner (anymore),
but a here's a big "yes, indeed" for Peter Wolf''s SLEEPLESS. A friend
turned me on to it the other day, and I was really taken by the material
and the delivery. It doesn't rely on Wolf's Geils-era schtick; it's
heartfelt and mature work, with a real timeless quality to it. I don't play
much in this particular genre sandbox these days, but anyone who likes the
Hiatt-to-Waits spectrum should check out SLEEPLESS (on Artemis).
Plus, Mick and Keef are on it!
