Hello,
De-lurking, but only for a brief moment ...
The Five Most Musically Influential Moments in my life have to be the first five records I got.
1. Beatles - Sgt. Pepper
2. Rolling Stones - Beggar´s Banquet
3. Fleetwood Mac - Mr. Wonderful
4. Monkees - More of the Monkees
5. OST - The Sound of Music (!!!)
Everything that´s on your mind builds on the previous layers of your experiences. So I just can´t ignore the original starting point. There´s a straight line from pre-teen youth of the late 60´s to this very moment.
The Five Most Important Sources of Musical Knowledge for me:
1. Zig Zag
2. Bomp
3. Bucketful of Brains
4. Yellow Pills
5. Audities ( -magazine -> this list)
Have to name a few more: Kicks, BOB (US), Dark Star, Liquerice, Trouser Press, Creem, Fat Angel, Away From The Pulse Beat, Next Big Thing, BamBalam, B-Side, Amplifier, Magnet Comstock Lode, Omaha Rainbow, Gorilla Beat, Hartbeat, Young Fast & Scientific ...I just got to stop this list (somew)here.
Top 5 Places
1. Plastic Passion (of London) -> Minus Zero & Bill Forsyth / Thanks also to Bill A.) (80/90/00s)
2. NotLame Mail Order (90/00s)
3. Bomp Mail Order (70/80s)
4. AuGoGo Records Mail Order (80s)
5. Fennica Records (of Helsinki) (70/80/90/00s)
Top 5 TV Femmes in my youth:
1. Barbara Feldon (99 / Get Smart)
2. Cat Woman (any one of them / Batman)
3. Marta Kristen (young blond / Lost In Space)
4. Marlo Thomas (That Girl)
5. Maureen McCormick (Marsha Brady)
With best regards
Yours
