I liked American Flyer's first record as much or more than any Pure Prarie
League record (whose covers were always as good or better than the contents
to me). As far as Little Feat...I look upon the first run (Lowell George)
and the reunited band (Fuller to current) as two distinctly different
animals. And while the latter day Little Feat has merit (the core of the
band is the same, and they can wail, especially live) I don't know that
you'd consider them a logical band to search out trying to complement
American Flyer and PPL records.
I find two Grateful Dead records (Workingmans Dead and American Beauty) more
of a close tangent than any Little Feat record.

That said, early Little Feat rules - if you are not familiar and would like
a nice rock/blues stew with some jazz/funk meat tossed in for flavor, by all
means go grab them. That band could lay down a groove that would sink its
teeth in your butt and you couldn't shake it loose for trying.

I think I need coffee.
