For me, the above poll is a vivid illustration of the strangely
incompatible gap between guitar-pop fans and guitar-pop cultists.
This and the Audities top 50 have just 15 items in common, by my
count? Despite the generally similar aesthetic of the contributors?

For extra flavoring while I'm here...

The top 10 Pop songs:
1. The Chills - "Heavenly Pop Hit"
2. Public Image Ltd. - "Poptones"
3. XTC - "This Is Pop"
4. Prince - "Pop Life"
5. XTC - "Funk Pop a Roll"
6. REM - "Pop Song 89"
7. Redd Kross - "Peach Kelli Pop"
8. Th' Faith Healers - "Pop Song"
9. Velocity Girl - "Pop Loser"
10. Blur - "Pop Scene"
