Need some aid in identifying another farm band. Michael Bennett wrote:

the discussion reminds me of a very vague memory i have of hearing a song on
the radio- probably 15-20 years ago - a kind of stripped down semi-new
wave/pop rock version of bruce springsteen's born to run. the reason i am
reminded of this is that i thought i heard the deejay announce the band and
the name sounded like the farmers, or something farm-like. does this ring
any bells with anyone?

or maybe i'm confusing the song with rosalita. i do recall seeing a local
pittsburgh new wave/guitar pop band doing a powerpop version of rosalita -
can't remember the band although the singer looked like andy partridge.
this was somewhere in the 78-83 timeframe, i would guess, and they were
opening up for graham parker and the rumour. by the way, i remember loving
the dual guitar sounds of the rumour doing the squeezing out sparks trax and
other tunes from subsequent elpees. great show!
