Childhood was all about The Beatles, Motown, and the Woodstock-era stuff my hippie uncle turned me onto.

Teenage years were dominated by The Rolling Stones (Brian Jones era), The Who, The Clash, and Elvis Costello & the Attractions.

Shortly after going away to college and having my mind loosened by some new influences, I discovered XTC (Terry Chambers era), Pere Ubu, and The Stooges' Funhouse, and the Velvet Underground.

Shortly thereafter my tastes were fairly well cemented.
