In a recent post, Bruce Brodeen mentions his high school band, "Buster Heiman
and the Penetrators." Throughout the rock and roll era, I bet darn near every
city that has/had any kind of music scene had a band with this name. I think
ther's still one in Pittsburgh - spelled Hyman here.
Imagine a comp with songs by all these bands...how varied do you think the
material would be? The Pittsburgh band is bluse-based - what kind of music did
your band do, Bruce?
Greg,
who would like to see a comp of 60's garage bands doing slow songs, like the
Sonics' "Love Lights" and the Fantastic DeeJays' "Shy Girl"...
