I'll echo all the comments about how great the Mood Elevator and "Listen UP"
are. "Listen Up" is one of those records that both power pop and indie pop
fans could enjoy. It's a bit rough around the edges but done with power pop
sensibilites.
Head over to themoodelevator.com and checkout the new mp3 "Boycott" (also on
the IPO vol 4 disc). It's an indication of where the band is heading
sonically. The band is toughening up the sound ala the 70s, Christopher
Plum actually performed dressed as Bon Scott once. Chris gave me a copy of
the bands new demos and they are killer. Lets hope someday they can find
someone willing to release them.
A little more of the family tree... Mood Elevator consists of Chris and
orginal bass Player Eric Pott, they are joined by Brendan Benson, Zach the
guitar player and Matt the drummer from another great Detroit powerhouse The
Atomic Numbers. Who are either on extended hiatus or sadily broken up.
