And written by Gerry Beckley, who's responsible for the majority of their
stuff that I like...other than a few Dan Peek tunes. Beckley also recorded
with Carl Wilson & Robert Lamm a few years back.

And RE: Hall & Oates...

Gimme "Wait For Me" from X-Static - Spector/Wilson sleighbells & clip-clops,
and just damn sweet sounding. I understand Rundgren sang it with them on
tour last year - that HAD to be cool.

I begs to differ, Master Bruce. "Red Ledge" is available domestically on
CD. Just checked with Amazon, and recalled seeing it in Best Buy along with
"X-Static." Either RCA reissued it or they did it thru the BMG reissue
imprint Buddha. (Same label is supposedly doing all new Partridge Family
reissues including rarities...stay tuned.) You may be confusing it with
"War Babies" which definitely has not seen domestic CD reissue...although
that's an Atlantic/Time Warner thang, so perhaps thru Rhino?...

I saw H+O a few years ago doing their acoustic tour (had Kasim Sulton on
bass & background vox) and they quite capably performed ALL the hits
stripped of their '80's production values, and sounded damn good. If you
lose the synths & processing, it's poppy r&b with Philly doo-wop vocals.
