Some happy news (just when we need it most): Mark
Bacino's "The Million Dollar Milkshake" is available
via the Parasol site now.

I've been fortunate enough to share a few bills with
the man recently, which led to my obtaining an advance
of the cd. Simply put, it's fabulous--everything the
debut was and lot's more.

One thing that's always struck me about Mark, on top
of his expert songcraft, is his ability to take a
"loaded" arrangement and make everything fit
perfectly, and this record is further proof. Nothing
sounds forced. Moreover, it's delivered as a "song
cycle" of sorts, which to me, when done effectively,
significantly ups the impact of a great song (think of
this as a sort of happier version of a "Skylarking").

While nearly every tune is spot-on, i do have my
fav's, including the ballad "take our time," which is
somewhat new ground for Mark, and the bouncy,
bacharach-infused "want you around."

This is a great record...pick it up
