Anything with Lindsey singing, playing, writing, and producing is, to me,
sleep-in-front-of-the-record-store-to-get-the-first-copy exciting. The guy
is a pop genius of the highest order, on a plane with Brian Wilson and
whoever else you might choose to put on that plane. I didn't appreciate the
first 2 he did with Fleetwood Mac because they were far too popular to like
(I was busy with Zappa and the Dead and such at the time) but damn, slap
Rumours into the car stereo and it is as gorgeous a slice of California pop
as you're going to find. His solo stuff is great too, although he is sadly
unprolific.

The only thing that could have made this better news would be if it was
Nicks, not Christine, who was missing. Her songs are cloying, whereas the
Christine/Lindsey collaboration has been remarkably fruitful (e.g., "Hold
Me", "Love In Store".) On her song "Everywhere" off of Tango, at the end he
appends a beautiful little "Heroes and Villains" style vocal arrangement
that just totally makes the tune.
