Plum is the Mood Elevator's singer and guitarist. Benson co-produced their
only album to date, LISTEN UP! (Roxbury Records, 2000, available from
NotLame), and also sang and played on some tracks.
LISTEN UP was a favorite of mine from that year, and I'm sure that Benson
fans on this list --and they are legion, according to our 2002 poll-- will
enjoy the melody, witty songs and unpretentious arrangements. Their website
http://themoodelevator.com includes full mp3s of three of the LISTEN UP
songs and a newer one, "Boycott," that seems to crank up the guitars a bit.
