I'd just like to state for the record that courtney
love is a dumb bitch.
in light of henry's comments about Neil Finn's show, i
now wonder if lisa germano will be appearing with him
(neil, not henry) in chicago. does anyone know? i saw
her opening and also playing with the Latin Playboys
(have i ever mentioned the giant, uncontrollable crush
i have on david hidalgo? sweet, sweet voiced man),
and was surprised that her cooing piano ballads did
not irritate me hardly at all. I have a cd she did
with the boys from calexico/giant sand under the band
name OP8 which tends to kind of drift off sometimes
but has moments of great clarity and emotion
("cracklin' water" comes to mind). I knew she had
hooked up with N. Finn for One Nil and was a world
colliding and so forth, but haven't seen them play
together...that could be interesting. Has she been
doing solo stuff in the meantime, or what? And is it
anything a self-professed chick-voice-avoider might
dig?
