Got a great 45 rpm record (remember those?) in the mail the other day...it's
on the outstanding Wizzard in Vinyl label, and it's a 4-song EP by the
fabulous LOLAS...it contains the title tracks from their two cd's, as well as
a new Tim Boykin original unavailable anywhere else and a cool cover of the
Shambles' "Can't Don't Want To".....

Also, is anyone else here a fan of Squire/Anthony Meynell? I used to love
these guys and collected just about everything they ever did. I pulled out
their cd's the other day and found that they have held up surprisingly well;
although they were lumped in with the Mod movement in the '80s back in the
UK, most of their stuff is more along the power pop side of the street
(chimey six strings abound). Anyone know what their leader, Anthony Meynell,
is doing these days? He was last spotted in Sugarplum, and played a few
dates here in Los Angeles many Poptopias ago....
