Two related notes:

1.  The Sadies play on all three of Neko Case's records in various amounts 
(not so much the last one, where Calexico and Giant Sand members do more 
playing).  Dallas Good of the band is very talented.

2.  If you like the rocking side of Jon Langford, The Waco Brothers can pick 
up a pretty big head of steam.  They don't have one great record, but any 
selection in their catalog has a ramshackle country yet rock feel.
