I'll keep it pithy:

A) Yes you should hear them.

B) You should start with Gideon Gaye for the most uh...classics influenced
sound.  Well at least the classics most of us know. Stewart Mason could fill
an encyclopedia with the influences to be found in Sean O'Hagan's music.

C) You should probably go to Hawaii from there.  Try to get the two disc
version as it's got some very fine stuff on the 2nd disk: including an
amazing cover of Nick Drake's "Chime of a City Clock".

D) From there I'd check out the earlier stuff, as the later stuff is a bit
too cold for my tastes.  But other's will disagree. That's why we're here.
