Not that I think a lot of you are pulling out your maps for a trip to Eugene
for this gig. But it's going to be at the WOW Hall, not the Wild Duck as
listed. You come to Eugene, I buy you a beer. This offer can not be

New single release plus special guest appearances on
Beth Orton UK tour.

Brendan Benson is back with the release of a new
single taken from his breathtaking 'Lapalco' album.
This latest offering is a previously unheard reworking
of the stunning track 'Metarie', hailed by many as the
albums finest moment. Brendan delivers some of his
most heart wrenching and thought inspiring lyrics
within this tale of his search for solace from
unrequited love; "I'd really like to see you everyday,
but I'm afraid of what my friends might say. You need
a bath and your clothes are wrong. You're not my
type, I can tell we wouldn't get along". Has a more
deadly brush off ever been delivered? The CD version
of 'Metarie' will also feature the previously
unreleased 'Alternative to Love'. Details of the

Brendan Benson also returns to UK shores with a series
of appearances as special guest on the Beth Orton
tour. Fresh from extensive touring of the US with Ben
Kweller and Europe as guest of The Flaming Lips,
Brendan then joins forces with Beth Orton to treat UK
fans to what promises to be a set of six amazing
shows.
Brendan, named by fellow Detroit resident Jack White
of White Stripes infamy as one of his favourite
songwriters, will bring his unique brand of sunshine
drenched guitar-pop to the tour along with the
phenomenal musical skills of his backing band 'The
Well Fed Boys'.
