At my college radio station, we used to put comment cards on the records, 
where the reviewer would give some info and opinion and leave room for 
others to opine, and a sticker on which people could write when they played 
the approved tracks.

In the late '80s, I was searching the used bins at Wax Trax in Chicago, and 
was confronted with my review of Nena's second U.S. album (my first line -- 
"No Luftballoons here this time.")  I found a couple others subsequently -- 
the thing is, they were all albums that I gave negative reviews to that were 
stuck in low rotation (hence, they were probably yanked from the library to 
give room to better records).  Not a great sales tool...
