~~~~i just want to say before my comment that i AM a
counting crows/adam duritz FAN.
okay, that said, the CC have plenty of songs they can
do acoustic or ARE acoustic, and i have seen then live
2-3 times and i just get the sense that they slow down
too many songs, and wreck the feel/passion/emotion
behind them due to, well....perhaps what seems to my
perception as adam's potential slothfulness or lack of
stamina or out of breathness. like the dude can't
hang.  he's got to sit down and catch a breather or
something.  and i LOVE the counting crows. and i love
him...so, i'm not trying to rip to rip, but at times,
i felt CC shows bordering on boring, to the point of
if they came around again, i would take a free ticket,
but since they are 'big' enough to warrant 'big'
ticket prices, i can't see spending 30-50 bucks on a
show that i might be watching slowed down versions of
MOST of the songs and him sort of being sort of
listless and sitting down !!! for most of them...
i mean....c'mon!! it's a tour! stay in shape, get in
shape beforehand.  i used to smoke plenty of pot
myself (if he in fact does indulge), but do that AFTER
the show!!  not before!!  or if so, do only enough to
get the good peaky buzz! i just felt that it was like,
okay slow down mr. jones or this song or that song,
but not ALL of them. some of them deserve the actual
treatment given on the record, cause that's what makes
them GOOD! maybe chicago was late tour, i have no
clue. i just felt disappointed the times i saw the
crows live. like i always wanted more from a band i
like SOOO much on record.
jocelyn, searching and STILL wanting to make excuses.
and kind of wondering what an aofs sounds like
acoustic...
