While Jersey suffers through its first real winter in quite a while (yes,
it's cold outside and has snowed several times this season), and we thank
heaven for the warm weather when it comes (above freezing would be nice
right about now), I look forward to the balmy days of March. Our home will
be warm inside, regardless of the temperature outside, as we'll be holding
two of our house concerts. The first will present The Trolleyvox on 3/9,
with an acoustic set to be followed by an electric set. If the weather
cooperates, the second set will be followed by a barbecue.
Our second March show, on the 30th, allows us the opportunity to present The
Churchills in all their glory. We've been waiting a long time for this show
to happen, and we're eagerly awaiting the band's arrival (my kids keep
looking out the window asking if they're here yet).
Shows start at 3 PM, dinner to follow. Beer requests taken. Details about

On another topic - Homonculous - I've heard a couple of their songs on WOXY
(www.woxy.com) over the past year, and have been tempted to purchase their
CD - haven't done it yet. For those of you looking for a great listening
experience on-line, WOXY is a great alternative to regular radio. Not
devoted to one style or another, but to independent music (yes they do play
major label stuff too, but a lot less than on other stations), the variety
of music is great and they're great about taking requests. Finally, they
active support the local music scene (thus the regularity of Homonculous in
their rotation), allowing me a regular fix from The
Raisins/Bears/Psychodots/Adrian Belew/Rob Fetters.
Finally, though I like the new mail server, I'm at a loss to figure out
where I'm going to get my investment advice - I'm almost ready to get the
promised millions from several individuals to whom I was introduced on this
list. Financial freedom awaits...
